Kinsman Farm

Founded in 1969 by George and Joan Steinbrenner, Kinsman Farm spans more than 750 acres in the heart of Marion County. Named for the Cleveland street where George’s German ancestors settled in 1840, the farm has become a cornerstone of thoroughbred breeding, training, and care.
George’s lifelong passion for racing and horsemanship shaped the farm’s legacy, producing generations of champions, including Majestic Warrior, winner of the prestigious G1 Hopeful at Saratoga. Beyond the winners’ circle, Kinsman Farm is known for its commitment to raising strong thoroughbreds, providing expert care, and maintaining facilities designed for every stage of a horse’s career—from foaling and yearling development to training, lay-ups, and sales preparation.
Today, Kinsman Farm continues to honor its rich history while offering world-class boarding and training services that uphold the Steinbrenner family’s dedication to excellence in the thoroughbred industry.
