Pick up an oar and join in.
The Zoning Hearing is TONIGHT, June 1st, 5:30pm. Here’s the agenda.
In just two weeks, Horse Farms Forever has received a groundswell of letters and comments from Flemington area residents opposing the Double Gate ATV Park. We will be bringing these before the County in tonight’s non-binding Zoning Hearing.
Here is our letter requesting that the Zoning Commission DENY the project.
Now it’s your turn. Zoning and Planning MUST hear from the community.
Come to the meeting – either virtually or in-person. Here’s how:
1. View the Meeting Online and Call in Your Comments: Navigate to the agenda page and a video link will appear just before the meeting, right next to the agenda link. You will not see it until just before the meeting. Here are the instructions.

Missed this meeting. I hear there is another vote. When?!
June 17th – the County Commissioners will vote and this one is binding. Come and comment if you can!
I am very familiar with Hawg Waller. There are times traffic is backed up in both directions with trucks and trailers loaded with ATVs. Traffic here on 318 is much heavier and the traffic jams would be much worse. Also, there is considerable wildlife in the 318/329 area. I frequently see a large flock of turkeys and several deer attesting to the quality of the environment. An ATV racetrack would be TOTALLY out of character for this area which has been slowly developing with beautiful horse farm properties. The blemish of an ATV racetrack would be a terrible injustice to those who have already invested in this area.
This is definitely not the area for an ATV park. There are too many horse farms around and wildlife everywhere. The roads will be completely destroyed with big rigs and campers, etc coming and going. This is a peaceful community and bringing in this kind of activity will turn the neighborhood into total chaos.
I just recently bought property in the area probably a half mile from where this is supposed to be I bought the property in this area because it was such a Peaceful community with wildlife to look at the horse farms around I do not think honestly that having just ATV race track and RV park is such a great idea to me I believe it would ruin the ecology total destruction of property if I would’ve known this I probably would not have bought property in your peaceful community I think you’re making a very big mistake if you pass this atv park going in You don’t honestly like the people in your community that you’re putting this in thank you very much
